According to Human Rights in Iran, on Sunday, February 18, 2024, Kimia Zahra Fathizadeh, a journalist and media activist residing in Tehran, will be tried by the judge of Branch 102 of the Criminal Court of Sirjan County, a part of Kerman Province.

According to a person close to the journalist's family, in a conversation with the Human Rights in Iran reporter: "The charge against Kimia Zahra Fathizadeh in this trial session is spreading false information, and she must appear in court on February 18, 2024."

This informed individual elaborated on the case: "This case against Kimia Zahra Fathizadeh was fabricated by a person named Shahbaz Hassanpour, a representative of the people of Sirjan in the parliament, who has extensive financial corruption. The corruption of this parliament member is so widespread that it has even tainted the judicial system. However, Mohsen Nikvarz, the former prosecutor of Sirjan County, who is currently the head of the Information Protection of the Kerman Province Judiciary, accused this journalist of spreading false information in cyberspace following the publication of a documented report on Shahbaz Hassanpour's corruption. The report was about the construction of a luxurious house for Mohsen Nikvarz, built with the investment of the Gol Gohar Sirjan mine on the Boulevard of the Republic in that county."

It is worth noting that in January 2024, law enforcement officers, following a complaint by the Cyber Police, raided Kimia Zahra Fathizadeh's home, searched the premises, and confiscated some of her personal belongings, including her mobile phone.

Additionally, the interrogation and charge notification session for Kimia Zahra Fathizadeh took place in late January 2024, after she was summoned to Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in District 23 of Tehran, on behalf of the Deputy Prosecutor's Office of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of Sirjan County. Following the interrogation and charge notification process, she was released on bail pending the completion of the legal proceedings.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز یکشنبه ۲۹ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۲، کیمیا زهرا فتحی زاده، خبرنگار و فعال رسانه ای، ساکن تهران، توسط قاضی شعبه ۱۰۲ دادگاه کیفری شهرستان سیرجان از توابع استان کرمان، محاکمه خواهد شد.

به نقل از یک فرد نزدیک به خانواده این خبرنگار در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”اتهام منتسب شده به کیمیا زهرا فتحی زاده، در این جلسه دادرسی نشر اکاذیب عنوان شده است و این خبرنگار باید در تاریخ ۲۹ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۲ در جلسه دادرسی حاضر شود.”

این فرد مطلع در تشریح این پرونده افزود:”این پرونده سازی بر علیه کیمیا زهرا فتحی زاده، توسط فردی با نام شهباز حسن پور ـ نماینده مردم سیرجان در مجلس که دارای فساد مالی گسترده است صورت گرفت. فساد این نماینده مجلس به حدی گسترده است که سیستم قضایی را هم آلوده کرده اما محسن نیک ورز ـ دادستان پیشین شهرستان سیرجان، که در حال حاضر رئیس حفاظت اطلاعات دادگستری استان کرمان است این خبرنگار را در پی انتشار گزارشی مستند از فساد شهباز حسن پور، مبنی بر ساخت خانه ای مجلل برای محسن نیک ورز که با سرمایه معدن گل گهر سیرجان در بلوار جمهوری آن شهرستان ساخته شده در مضان اتهام نشر اکاذیب در فضای مجازی قرار داده است.”

لازم به اشاره است، در دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، ماموران نیروی انتظامی در پی شکایت پلیس فتا، با یورش به منزل کیمیا زهرا فتحی زاده و تفتیش منزل، برخی لوازم شخصی این خبرنگار از قبیل گوشی تلفن همراه وی را توقیف کردند.

همچنین، جلسه بازپرسی و تفهیم اتهام کیمیا زهرا فتحی زاده، اواخر دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از احضار این خبرنگار به شعبه ۵ بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب ناحیه ۲۳ تهران با نیابت از طرف شعبه معاونت دادستان دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهرستان سیرجان و طی مراحل بازپرسی و تفهیم اتهام، با تودیع یک قرار کفالت تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
