شب 22 شهریور 1402، گزارش شده است که حامد باقری، جوان کرد اهل اسلام آباد غرب، در یکی از خیابان های گلشهر کرج در حال سر دادن شعار و دعوت مردم به تجمع بود که مورد حمله نیروهای حکومتی قرار گرفت. او در حین دفاع از خود، در اثر شلیک مستقیم گلوله به قتل رسید. پیکر او توسط نهادهای حکومتی برده شده است. خانواده حامد باقری پس از اطلاع از این حادثه به کرج رفتند، اما تاکنون موفق به دیدن پیکر فرزندشان نشده اند و نهادهای حکومتی از تحویل جنازه خودداری می کنند.

On the night of 13 September 2023, it was reported that Hamed Bagheri, a young Kurdish man from Eslamabad-e Gharb, was attacked by government forces while chanting slogans and encouraging people to gather in a street in Golshahr, Karaj. During his attempt to defend himself, he was killed by a direct gunshot. His body was taken by government authorities. Hamed Bagheri's family travelled to Karaj after learning of the incident, but they have not yet been able to see his body, as government authorities are refusing to release it.
