In two separate instances in the months of November and February, the death sentence of five men was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
On the morning of Wednesday, January 28, the execution of four prisoners who had been sentenced to death for "premeditated murder" was carried out in this prison. The identity of one of these prisoners, Saeed Malkian, has been confirmed; he was sentenced to death for "premeditated murder." The identities of the other three prisoners have not been confirmed at the time of this report.
Additionally, earlier on the morning of Tuesday, December 9, the execution of a prisoner of Afghan nationality was carried out in this prison. This prisoner, whose identity has been confirmed as Ahmad Farhad Heidari, was sentenced to death for "premeditated murder."
A knowledgeable source regarding the execution of these prisoners stated: "Saeed Malkian, a Kurdish citizen, had been detained for about six years on charges of murder and was sentenced to death. Ahmad Farhad Heidari was also from the city of Herat and had been detained and sentenced to death on charges of murder for six years."
The execution of these prisoners has not been announced by the media inside Iran or official sources at the time of this report.

بنا به اطلاع سازمان حقوق بشر ایران در دو نوبت جداگانه در ماه های آذر و بهمن حکم اعدام پنج مرد در زندان قزل حصار کرج اجرا شده است.
صبح روز چهارشنبه ۸ بهمن ماه حکم اعدام چهار زندانی که با اتهام «قتل عمد» به قصاص نفس محکوم شده بودند در این زندان به اجرا درآمد. هویت یکی از این زندانیان سعید ملکیان احراز شده که با اتهام «قتل عمد» به قصاص نفس محکوم شده بود. هویت سه زندانی دیگر تا لحظه تنظیم این خبر احراز نشده است.
همچنین پیش از این در صبح روز سه شنبه ۱۸ آذر ماه حکم اعدام یک زندانی تبعه کشور افغانستان در این زندان به اجرا درآمده بود. این زندانی که هویتش احمدفرهاد حیدری احراز شده با اتهام «قتل عمد» به قصاص نفس محکوم شده بود.
یک منبع مطلع درخصوص اعدام این زندانیان به سازمان حقوق بشر ایران گفت: «سعید ملکیان شهروند کُرد از حدود ۶ سال پیش به اتهام قتل در بازداشت بود و به قصاص محکوم شده بود. احمد فرهاد حیدری نیز اهل شهر هرات بود و از شش سال پیش با اتهام قتل بازداشت و به قصاص محکوم شده بود.»
اعدام این زندانیان تا لحظه تنظیم این خبر از سوی رسانه های داخل ایران و یا منابع رسمی اعلام نشده است.
