Comment:He continues to be held in an uncertain status in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan, despite eight days having passed since his arrest.

Comment:A political activist residing in Isfahan, he was arrested by security forces in the city on Friday 23rd Aban 1404 (14th November 2025) and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Comment:He was sentenced to three years in prison and additional penalties by Branch 1 of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court. The sentence has been suspended for four years.

Comment:On Tuesday, April 21, 2025 (2 Ordibehesht 1404), he was tried by Judge Tavakoli — the head of Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Esfahan. He appeared at the hearing and presented his defence in response to the charges of “acting against national security by inciting others to gather,” “propaganda against the regime,” and “insulting the Supreme Leader” before Judge Tavakoli — the head of the Revolutionary Court. He also objected to the judicial process regarding the case.

Comment:On wet Espand 1403 (19th February 2025) Mr Akbar Danes Sararudi, a political activist, was released from Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan on bail. He had been arrested after publishing a call for a rally on 25th Batman 1403 (13 February 2025) to protest the continued detention of three political figures.

Comment:In relation to a gathering of citizens protesting the continued house arrest of three political figures in front of Tehran University, Mr Akbar Danish Sararoudi was arrested.

Comment:On Monday 24th Dey 1403 (13th January 2025) the interrogation session of Mr Akbar Danesh Sararoudi, a resident of Isfahan, was held at the Culture and Media Court located in Tehran. He was released on 100million Tomans (~US$1,259) bail.
