Comment: *Davoud Mirzaei was shot at close range with pellet gunfire by the Islamic Republic regime’s security forces while attending protests in the Shahrak-e Valiasr (Yaftabad) neighborhood on 8 January 2026. According to reports, pellets struck his spleen, dispersed throughout his body, caused internal damage and severe bleeding, and he later died from his injuries.
Davoud Mirzaei was the father of two children, aged 11 and 13.
