فردین پناهی ۳۱ ساله و شهروند گیلک اهل رشت در جریان اعتراضات سراسری ۱۸ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ در این شهر هدف شلیک نیروهای حکومتی قرار گرفت.
طبق روایت شاهدان فردین پناهی در جریان درگیری ها در حالی که تلاش می کرد به یک نوجوان مجروح کمک کند از ناحیه پا هدف شلیک گلوله قرار گرفت. به گفته منبع مطلع گلوله به بالای زانوی او اصابت کرده و وضعیت جسمی اش وخیم بوده است. او پس از انتقال به بیمارستان کشته شد.

According to witness accounts during the clashes Fardin was trying to help an injured teenager when he was shot in the leg. An informed source reported that the bullet struck above his knee and his physical condition was critical.
He was transferred to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
