It has been reported that Dr. Ghorban Behzadian Nejad, a senior advisor to Mir Hossein Mousavi, was arrested in Tehran on 7 February 2026.
It was also announced that Ghorban Behzadian Nejad is another signatory of the statement known as the "17 individuals," who have been arrested in recent days.
Previously, reports had emerged of the arrests of Abdollah Momeni, Mehdi Mahmoudian, and Vida Rabbani, former political prisoners and signatories of this statement.
On 2 January 2026, 17 civil and political activists issued a statement describing a peaceful transition from the Islamic Republic as an "irrepressible necessity." The signatories of this statement emphasized the importance of the right to a decent life, freedom, justice, human dignity, and self-determination, while supporting nationwide protests.
گزارش شده است که دکتر قربان بهزادیان نژاد، مشاور ارشد میرحسین موسوی، در تاریخ ۱۸ بهمن ۱۴۰۴ در تهران بازداشت شده است.
همچنین اعلام شده است که قربان بهزادیان نژاد یکی دیگر از امضا کنندگان بیانیه موسوم به «۱۷ تن» است که در روزهای اخیر بازداشت شده اند.
پیش از این نیز گزارش هایی از بازداشت عبدالله مومنی، مهدی محمودیان و ویدا ربانی، زندانیان سیاسی پیشین و از امضا کنندگان این بیانیه منتشر شده بود.
در تاریخ ۱۲ دی ماه، ۱۷ فعال مدنی و سیاسی با انتشار بیانیه ای، گذار صلح آمیز از جمهوری اسلامی را به عنوان «ضرورتی غیرقابل سرکوب» توصیف کرده بودند. امضا کنندگان این بیانیه با حمایت از اعتراضات سراسری بر اهمیت حق زندگی شایسته، آزادی، عدالت، کرامت انسانی و حاکمیت بر سرنوشت خود تأکید کرده بودند.
