According to the Hrana news agency, veteran Iranian actors and directors Marzieh Boroumand and Reza Babak are facing legal action due to an act deemed “against social norms” by the judiciary. During the Fajr Film Festival, the two artists shook hands on stage, and Boroumand affectionately reflected on their longstanding collaboration.

Hrana, the news agency affiliated with the Human Rights Activists in Iran, reported that both individuals are now facing legal proceedings.

At the opening ceremony of the 43rd Fajr Film Festival, Boroumand and Babak, both wellrespected figures in Iranian cinema, greeted each other with a handshake on stage at Vahdat Hall. Boroumand also warmly acknowledged their 14 years of professional partnership. Shortly after, the judiciarys media centre announced that a case had been filed against them the same day in Tehrans Public and Revolutionary Court for their socalled “improper conduct.”

به گزارش خبرگزاری هرانا، ارگان خبری مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ایران، مرضیه برومند و رضا بابک، با تشکیل پرونده قضایی علیه خود مواجه شدند.

در جریان افتتاحیه چهل وسومین دوره جشنواره فیلم فجر، مرضیه برومند و رضا بابک، دو هنرمند پیشکسوت، با حضور بر صحنه تالار وحدت به یکدیگر دست دادند و ادای احترام کردند. همچنین خانم برومند به شیوه ای صمیمانه به همکاری ۱۴ ساله خود با رضا بابک اشاره کرد. سپس مرکز رسانه قوه قضاییه اعلام کرد که در همان روز علیه این افراد به دلیل “اقدام خلاف عرف”، پرونده قضایی در دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب تهران تشکیل شده است.
