Mehdi Mirzaei, a 23-year-old from Arak and residing in Tehran, lost his life on January 8 when a bullet was fired into his heart. He was an only child and the caretaker of his mother, working as a hairdresser.

According to his close associates, after Mehdi's death, security agencies pressured and threatened his family to declare that he was a "Basiji." However, Mehdi's mother, despite the threats, refused to accept this forced narrative and was unwilling to let her son's true identity be distorted.

The family says that the aim of these pressures is to conceal the truth and change the narrative of this young man's murder; a narrative that ended with a direct shot to his heart in Tehran and plunged his mother into deep mourning.

مهدی میرزایی‬، ۲۳ ساله، اهل اراک و ساکن تهران، روز ۱۸ دی ماه با شلیک گلوله به قلب جان خود را از دست داد. او تک فرزند و سرپرست مادرش بود و به عنوان آرایشگر فعالیت می کرد.
بر اساس گفته های نزدیکانش، پس از کشته شدن مهدی، نهادهای امنیتی خانواده او را تحت فشار و تهدید قرار داده اند تا اعلام کنند وی «بسیجی» بوده است. این در حالی است که مادر مهدی با وجود تهدیدها از پذیرش این روایت اجباری خودداری کرده و حاضر نشده هویت واقعی فرزندش تحریف شود.

خانواده می گویند هدف از این فشارها، پنهان سازی واقعیت و تغییر روایت قتل این جوان است؛ روایتی که با شلیک مستقیم به قلب او در تهران پایان یافت و زندگی مادرش را در سوگی سنگین فرو برد.
