According to reports, 37-year-old Mohsen Shahbazi, who was arrested by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during the Tehran Bazaar protests, was killed in prison. According to this report, after Mohsen Shahbazi's arrest, his family received no official information about his whereabouts or condition. It wasn't until they received a call from the forensic office on Khayyam Street in Tehran that they were informed of their son's death. Security forces have made the delivery of Mohsen Shahbazi's body conditional upon payment, a request that the family says they cannot fulfill.

بر اساس گزارش ها؛ محسن شهبازی ۳۷ ساله که در جریان اعتراضات بازار تهران توسط نیروهای سرکوبگر جمهوری اسلامی بازداشت شده بود در زندان کشته شد.
بر اساس این گزارش پس از بازداشت محسن شهبازی خانواده اش هیچ گونه اطلاع رسمی از محل نگهداری یا وضعیت او دریافت نکردند. تا اینکه خانواده محسن شهبازی تماسی از پزشکی قانونی خیابان خیام تهران دریافت کرده اند که در آن مرگ فرزندشان به آنان اطلاع داده شده است. نیروهای امنیتی تحویل پیکر محسن شهبازی را منوط به پرداخت پول کرده اند! درخواستی که به گفته خانواده امکان تامین آن وجود ندارد.
به نقل از منبع مطلع پدر محسن شهبازی در واکنش به این درخواست گفته است:
«هر کاری هم بکنم توانایی تامین این پول را ندارم. مگر در زندان به پسرم گلوله زده اند که حالا باید پول گلوله را واریز کنم؟»
