رضا کاووسی، ۱۶ ساله اهل قوچان بود ولی برای کار رفت کرج که مکانیکی یاد بگیرد. در جریان انقلاب ملی ۱۹ دی در کرج هدف گلوله ی حرامیان سپاهی قرار گرفت و جان فدای وطن شد.
پدرش بابت ۷۵۰ تومن پول تیر، مجبور شد ماشینش را بفروشد تا پیکرش را در قوچان به خاک بسپارد.
