On Friday, September 27, 2024, Maryam Yahyavi, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, is serving her one-year sentence while being deprived of her basic rights as a prisoner.
A source familiar with the matter reported that following a disciplinary action by Evin Prison's committee, Maryam Yahyavi was denied the right to make phone calls to her family starting August 6, 2024. At the end of September 2024, she had her first cabin visit with her family after a period of time. The restriction was linked to a protest letter she and a group of political prisoners published in support of Pakhshan Azizi, a political prisoner sentenced to death.
Maryam Yahyavi was arrested on March 3, 2024, to serve her sentence at Branch 1 of the Execution of Sentences Office in District 33 of Tehran and was transferred to Evin Prison.
Maryam Yahyavi, an active user on the social media platform Clubhouse and a member of a virtual room called the "Green Movement," was summoned to the Department of Supervision and Follow-up of the Ministry of Intelligence in Tehran due to her continued peaceful activities online. She underwent three stages of interrogation, and her case was eventually referred to the Investigation Branch in District 33 of Tehran. After being summoned and going through the investigation process, she was released on bail set at 10 billion rials.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، در روز جمعه ۶ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۳، مریم یحیوی، زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، در حالی دوران حبس تعزیری خود را سپری می کند که از حقوق اولیه زندانی محروم شده است. این زندانی سیاسی در حال سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری ۱ ساله خود است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”درپی اقدام تنبیهی کمیته انضباظی زندان اوین، از تاریخ ۱۶ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، مریم یحیوی از حق برقراری تماس تلفنی با خانواده خود محروم شده و اواخر شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۳، پس از مدتی اولین ملاقات کابینی وی با خانواده اش برقرار شد و علت این محدودیت، به انتشار نامه اعتراضی بازمی گردد که این مریم یحیوی به همراه جمعی از زندانیان سیاسی در حمایت از پخشان عزیزی ـ زندانی سیاسی محکوم به اعدام منتشر کرده بودند.”
مریم یحیوی، از تاریخ ۱۳ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۲، برای سپری کردن دوردان حبس تعزیری خود در شعبه ۱ اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، بازداشت و به زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
مریم یحیوی، فعال فضای مجازی کلاب هاووس ، از اعضای اتقاق مجازی با نام«جنبش سبز» بود و در پی تداوم فعالیتهای مسالمت آمیز خود در فضای مجازی، به اداره نظارت و پیگیری وزارت اطلاعات در تهران، احضار و ۳ مرحله تحت بازجویی قرار گرفت و در نهایت پرونده وی به شعبه بازپرسی در دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، ارجاع و پس از احضار و طی مراحل بازپرسی با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلع ۱ میلیارد تومان، آزاد شده بود.
