این کودک سه ساله حین تعقیب وگریز و تیراندازی نیروهای حکومتی به سوی معترضان در جریان اعتراضات مردمی جمعه ۱۹ دی ماه در نیشابور، هدف اصابت گلوله قرار گرفت و در پی آن مجروح و به کما رفته بود. پیکر بهار سیفی روز پنجشنبه ۲۵ دی ماه در آرامستان روستای شاداب از توابع نیشابور به خاک سپرده شد. قتل حکومتی این کودک توسط نهادهای حکومتی به مردم معترض نسبت داده شد.
