Hamidreza Sahl Abadi, who was imprisoned in Evin Prison, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment on charges of vandalising public property. A bail amount of 1.5 billion tomans was requested for his temporary release. He was also charged with membership and collaboration with opposition groups and engaging in propaganda against the regime, although the court session for this part of his case has not yet been held.
In the late hours of 3 July 2023, he was arrested by agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Intelligence Organisation and transferred to solitary confinement. His case was referred to Branch 5 of the Prosecutor's Office in District 33 of Tehran.
On 21 July 2024, he attempted suicide due to psychological pressure and was transferred to Loghman Hospital in Tehran. The court session to address his charges was held on 1 July 2024 in Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. The second court session took place on 28 July 2024.
After completing his prison term, he was released on 24 August 2026 and is required to move to the city of Shazand, where he must live in exile under the supervision of the Department of Justice.
حمیدرضا سهل آبادی، که در زندان اوین محبوس بود، به اتهام تخریب اموال عمومی به دو سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. برای آزادی موقت او وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱ میلیارد و ۵۰۰ میلیون تومان درخواست شده است. همچنین، او به اتهام عضویت و همکاری در گروه های مخالف نظام و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام مورد تفهیم اتهام قرار گرفته و هنوز جلسه دادگاه این بخش از پرونده او برگزار نشده است.
در ساعات پایانی 12 تیر 1402، او توسط ماموران سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران بازداشت و به سلول انفرادی منتقل شد. پرونده او به شعبه ۵ بازپرسی دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران ارجاع شد.
در 30 تیر 1403، او به دلیل فشارهای عصبی اقدام به خودکشی کرد و به بیمارستان لقمان تهران منتقل شد. جلسه دادگاه رسیدگی به اتهامات او در 10 تیر 1403 در شعبه بیست و ششم دادگاه انقلاب تهران برگزار شد. دومین جلسه دادگاه در 6 مرداد 1403 برگزار شد.
پس از پایان دوران حبس، او در 2 شهریور 1405 آزاد شد و باید به شهر شازند رفته و تحت نظارت اداره دادگستری در تبعید زندگی کند.
