According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Monday, January 5, 2026 15 Dey 1404 , Mohammadreza Karami, a young resident of Malekshahi who had been injured by direct gunfire from government forces during the popular protests in the city, died at Khomeini Hospital. It has been reported that he was 16 years old, though this information has not yet been independently confirmed by Hengaw.

According to informed sources, Mohammadreza Karami was shot on Saturday, January 3, 2026 13 Dey 1404 during the popular protests in Malekshahi. He was hit by three bullets in the side and was hospitalized in critical condition, where he was placed under intensive care.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026 13 Dey 1404 , concurrent with popular protests in Malekshahi County, government suppressive forces used violence and direct gunfire against protesters in an effort to disperse the demonstrations. As a result, several citizens were killed and dozens more were injured.

After the wounded were transferred to Khomeini Hospital in Ilam, government forces reportedly raided the medical facility with the intention of detaining some of the hospitalized injured individuals. This action was met with resistance from patients relatives and members of the medical staff. Subsequently, suppressive forces entered the hospital grounds using force and fired tear gas inside the hospital premises.

بر اساس گزارش رسیده به سازمان حقوق بشری هه نگاو، شامگاه دوشنبە ١٥ دی ١٤٠٤ ٥ ژانویە ٢٠٢٦ ، محمدرضا کرمی، جوان اهل ملکشاهی کە با شلیک مستقیم نیروی حکومتی در جریان اعتراضات مردمی در این شهر زخمی شدە بود، در بیمارستان خمینی این شهر جان باخت. گفته می شود که این جوان ۱۶ ساله است، اما این موضوع تاکنون برای هه نگاو تایید نشده است.

به گفته منابع آگاه، این جوان روز شنبه ۱۳ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات مردمی شهر ملکشاهی مورد هدف نیروهای حکومتی قرار گرفته و بر اثر اصابت سه گلوله به ناحیه پهلو، با وضعیت وخیم جسمانی در بیمارستان تحت مراقبت های ویژه قرار گرفتە بود.

روز شنبه ١٣ دی ماه ١٤٠٤، هم زمان با اعتراضات مردمی در شهرستان ملکشاهی، نیروهای سرکوبگر حکومتی با استفاده از خشونت و تیراندازی مستقیم به سوی معترضان، اقدام به سرکوب مردم کردند که در نتیجه آن شماری از شهروندان کشته و ده ها نفر دیگر زخمی شدند.

پس از انتقال مجروحان به بیمارستان «خمینی» ایلام، نیروهای حکومتی با هدف ربودن تعدادی از مجروحان بستری شده، بە این مرکز درمانی یورش بردند کە این اقدام با مقاومت بستگان مجروحان و شماری از اعضای کادر درمان مواجه شد و در نهایت نیروهای سرکوبگر با توسل به خشونت وارد محوطه بیمارستان شده و اقدام به شلیک گاز اشک آور در فضای بیمارستان کردند.
