نهادهای امنیتی پیکر این شهروند را به مدت سه روز گروگان گرفته و تنها پس از اخذ تعهد کتبی از تمامی نزدیکان مبنی بر سکوت اجباری و همچنین اخاذی مبلغی پول تحت عنوان «حق تیر» پیکر او را به خانواده تحویل دادند.
پیکر این جانباختە روز ۲۳ دی ماه به آرامگاه هشترودی ها منتقل و در کنار مزار پدرش به خاک سپرده شد.
