Saman Mohammadi Khiyareh, a political prisoner held in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, was executed on 4 October 2025. He was accused of enmity against God through membership in terrorist and extremist groups, conducting armed operations, and planning and directing the assassination of Mamosta Sheikh al-Islam.
The judiciary also charged him with armed robbery of a jewellery store in Hamedan, theft of a personal vehicle and the murder of its driver, shooting at citizens, and an armed attack on a police station at Se Rah-e Sheikhan in Sanandaj, which resulted in the death of a soldier.
Saman Mohammadi Khiyareh from Sanandaj, was arrested in February 2010 on charges of enmity against God. A few months later, he was sentenced to death by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. However, this sentence was overturned by Branch 41 of the Supreme Court due to insufficient evidence, and the case was referred to a parallel court for reconsideration. Ultimately, the parallel court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment for membership in opposition groups. Nevertheless, under pressure from security agencies, this sentence was overturned, and he was once again sentenced to death on the same charges.
سامان محمدی خیاره، زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان قزلحصار کرج، در تاریخ 12 مهر 1404 اعدام شد. اتهامات منتسب به او شامل محاربه از طریق عضویت در گروه های تروریستی و تکفیری، انجام عملیات مسلحانه و طراحی و هدایت ترور ماموستا شیخ الاسلام بوده است.
قوه قضاییه همچنین او را به سرقت مسلحانه از یک طلافروشی در همدان، سرقت یک خودروی شخصی و قتل راننده آن، تیراندازی به سوی شهروندان و حمله مسلحانه به ایستگاه پلیس در سه راه شیخان سنندج که منجر به مرگ یک سرباز شد، متهم کرده است.
سامان محمدی خیاره، اهل سنندج، در بهمن ماه 1388 به اتهام محاربه بازداشت شد. وی چند ماه بعد در شعبه 15 دادگاه انقلاب تهران به اعدام محکوم شد. این حکم اما به دلیل نبود ادله کافی در شعبه 41 دیوان عالی کشور نقض و پرونده برای رسیدگی مجدد به شعبه هم عرض ارجاع شد. در نهایت، دادگاه هم عرض او را به 15 سال حبس تعزیری به اتهام عضویت در گروه های مخالف نظام محکوم کرد. با این حال، در روندی که با فشار نهادهای امنیتی همراه بود، این حکم نقض و او بار دیگر از بابت همان اتهامات به اعدام محکوم شد.
