مهدی ببرنژاد، ۲۲ ساله در اعتراضات سی شهریور ۱۴۰۱در قوچان با گلوله ی نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد. نزدیکانش می گویند پیش از مهدی دو نفر تیر خورده و کشته شده بودند اما مهدی باز هم نترسیده و در خیابان مانده بود. مهدی که با گلوله مجروح شده بوده به بیمارستان منتقل میشود اما در آنجا اجازه نمیدهند به اتاق عمل برود و آنقدر منتظر می مانند تا جان بدهد.
این اتفاق که در بیمارستان ها به مجروحینِ اعتراضات اجازه ی مداوا نمیدهند تا جانشان را بگیرند درمورد بسیاری از کشته شدگان آبان۹۸ هم صدق میکند.
او زاده بیست و چهار مرداد ماه ۱۳۷۹ بود.
