On the evening of January 8, 2026, a 20yearold Kurdish citizen named Amirhossein Fathi, a mechanical engineering student from Kermanshah Province and resident of Karaj, lost his life during the popular protests in this city as a result of live gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
