Comment: On January 8 in Isfahan, while driving a friend home, Sepehr's car was shot at by military and security forces of Islamic Republic. He later died from his injuries at Al Zahra Hospital. After killing him, authorities pressured his family to claim he was a Basiji and a "martyr" to receive his body. They refused. Five days later, they were allowed to identify him only on the condition that the funeral remain private and the truth stay silent. He was a mechanical engineering graduate of Islamic Azad University of Isfahan and worked as a motorcycle courier.
