به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای اخیر، عباس دریس و برادر وی محسن دریس، توسط قاضی شعبه ۳ دادگاه کیفری ۱ استان خوزستان، به تحمل ۱۶ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شدند.
به گفته فرشته تابانیان وکیل دادگستری :”محسن دریس، از اتهام معاونت در قتل تبرئه شد ولی به اتهام نگهداری اسلحه به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.”
جلسه دادرسی به اتهامات عباس دریس و محسن دریس، در تاریخ ۳۰ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، در بخش دوم از پرونده قضایی خود از بابت ارتکاب قتل عمد توسط قاضی شعیه ۳ دادگاه کیفری۲ اهواز، محاکمه شده بودند.
جلسه اول دادگاه رسیدگی به اتهامات عباس دریس و محسن دریس در تاریخ ۲۰ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۱، برگزار و عباس دریس از بابت اتهامات محاربه و قدرت نمایی با اسلحه جنگی کلاشینکف و اخلال در نظم و آسایش عمومی از طریق حمل اسلحه جنگی و محسن دریس هم از بابت اتهام محاربه و قدرت نمایی با سلاح جنگی کلاشینکف ، اخلال در نظم و آسایش عمومی از طریق تیراندازی و حمل و نگهداری سلاح جنگی از طریق ویدئو کنفرانس دفاعیات خود را به قاضی رامین مهمان نواز ابراز کرده بودند.
همچنین، دومین و آخرین جلسه محاکمه عباس دریس و محسن دریس، در تاریخ ۲۲ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب شهرستان ماهشهر برگزار شده بود.
