Government forces had prevented Anila and her mother from passing to return home, and after they tried to take an alternative route, the forces ordered the car to stop and fired into the vehicle, resulting in the death of 8yearold Anila Abotalebian.
Following the killing of their child, Anilas family was subjected to security pressures, and her mother attempted suicide by cutting her veins.
Anilas body was buried by government forces during a stateorganized rally on Monday, 22 Dey January 12, 2026 , at Golestan Shohada Cemetery in Isfahan, and her name was displayed on city walls and streets as a “martyr of the homeland” alongside government slogans, as part of propaganda and orchestrated state displays.

نیروهای حکومتی مانع از عبور اتومبیل آنیلا و مادرش جهت بازگشت به خانه شان شده بودند و پس از تلاش آنان برای برگشت از مسیری دیگر به اتومبیل فرمان ایست داده و به داخل اتومبیل شلیک کرده اند که در نتیجه ی آن آنیلا ابوطالبیان هشت ساله جان خود را از دست داده است. خانواده آنیلا ابوطالبیان پس از کشته شدن فرزندشان تحت فشارهای امنیتی قرار گرفته اند و مادر این کودک با زدن رگ خود اقدام به خودکشی کرده است.
پیکر آنیلا در جریان راهپیمایی حکومتی روز دوشنبه ۲۲ دی ماه توسط نیروهای حکومتی در گلستان شهدای اصفهان به خاک سپرده شد و نام او با عنوان شهید وطن بەهمراە شعارهای حکومتی، در جهت پروپاگاندا و نمایش های حکومتی بر دیوار و خیابان های شهر نصب شد.
