Following the overturning of the death sentence of Mr Shahin Vesaaf by the Supreme Court of Iran and the referral of his case to an equivalent branch, this political prisoner, held in Urmia Prison, was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city.

In October 2023, Shahin Vasaf, a security-related detainee held in Urmia Central Prison in West Azerbaijan Province, was sentenced to death by the judge of Branch 3 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court on charges of espionage for Israel. This sentence was communicated to him in the same month.

Shahin Vasaf was arrested by security forces at his home in West Azerbaijan Province on 21 September 2022. Following his transfer to a central detention facility of a security agency in the province, he underwent interrogation without access to a lawyer or other defendant rights. He was charged by an investigator from the Urmia Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.

Subsequently, Shahin Vasaf was tried by the judge of Branch 3 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court. Further details regarding the legal proceedings and his death sentence are not available.

در مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، شاهین وصاف، متهم امنیتی محبوس در زندان مرکزی ارومیه در استان آذربایجان غربی، توسط قاضی شعبه ۳ دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه به اتهام جاسوسی برای اسرائیل به اعدام محکوم شده است. این حکم در همان ماه به وی ابلاغ شد.

شاهین وصاف در تاریخ ۳۰ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۱ توسط ماموران امنیتی در منزل خود در استان آذربایجان غربی دستگیر شد. او پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه مرکزی یکی از نهادهای امنیتی در آن استان و طی مراحل بازجویی، بدون دسترسی به وکیل و سایر حقوق متهم، توسط بازپرس شعبه دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب ارومیه تفهیم اتهام شد.

در ادامه، شاهین وصاف توسط قاضی شعبه ۳ دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه محاکمه شد. اطلاعات بیشتری درباره روند حقوقی پرونده و محکومیت وی به اعدام در دسترس نیست.
