به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز دوشنبه ۱۰ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، قرار بازداشت موقت شایا شهوق، طراح و گرافیست، ساکن شهرستان آمل از توابع استان مازندران، محبوس و بلاتکلیف در زندان بند امنیتی اداره کل اطلاعات استان مازندران، تمدید شد.
براساس اعلام شیما افکار ـ همسر شایا شهوق، قرار بازداشت همسر وی، توسط بازپرس دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهر ساری، روز دوشنبه ۱۰ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲ به مدت ۱۵ روز دیگر تمدید شده است.
لازم به اشاره است، شایا شهوق، ۲۸ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط ماموران اداره کل اطلاعات استان مازندران، دستگیر و پس از تفتیش منزل و توقیف برخی لوزام شخصی و الکترونیکی وی از قبیل گوشی تلفن همراه و لپ تاپ، سپس برای بازجویی و تشکیل پرونده قضایی به بازداشتگاه مرکزی آن نهاد امنیتی در شهر ساری مرکز استان مازندران، منتقل شد.
علیرغم گذشت مدتی قابل توجه از تاریخ دستگیری شایا شهوق، اما از مصادیق حقوقی اتهامات یا اتهامی که منجر بازداشت وی شده اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
لازم به اشاره است شایا شهوق، پیشتر در ماهنامه (نامه) فعالیت می کرد و در سال ۱۴۰۰ پس از توقیف آن رسانه فعالیت وی نیز متوقف شد.
