به نقل از کولبرنیوز، روز چهارشنبە ٢٩ شهریورماه ١٤٠٢، مختار دستوم، اهل روستای کانی دینار از توابع شهرستان مریوان در استان کردستان، توسط ماموران ادارە اطلاعات در آن شهرستان بازداشت شد.
ماموران اداره اطلاعات شهرستان مریوان، مختار دستوم را به آن نهاد امنیتی احضار و پس از بازداشت وی را به بازداشتگاه منتقل کردند.
همچنین، از مکان نگهداری و علت دقیق احضار و بازداشت مختار دستوم، اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
