Sina Alishahi

Sina Alishahi was killed on 6 December 2022. He was from Khorramabad and belonged to the Romiani tribe, residing in Karaj. Sina was a doctoral student in public criminal law at the University of Karaj.

Since the onset of nationwide protests following the death of Mahsa Amini, he participated as an active student in these demonstrations. Sina took to the streets to voice his demands for freedom for himself and his fellow citizens. He issued calls for nationwide protests on 5, 6, and 7 December.

On 5 December, he was identified and arrested by intelligence agents and was subjected to torture for one day. After this period, Sina lost his life.

Following his death, agents contacted his family and stated that he had died in an accident. They threatened the family, insisting that they must declare his death as an accident in order to receive his body. After his uncle confirmed the death as an accident on behalf of his mother, the body was returned to the family. Security agents did not allow his mother to see his body.

Sina's body was buried on 7 December 2022 under heavy security measures at Khazar Cemetery in "Behesht-e No" in his hometown of Khorramabad.
