37yearold Sima Mousavi, a film director who was shot and killed by the security forces of Irans Islamic regime for participating in an antiregime protest in Karaj on January 9, 2026.
She was killed along with her fiancé, Omid Fallahipour. They were shot while boarding an elevator in their apartment building as they tried to reach the upper floors to escape Basij militiamen who were chasing them. The Basij shot Sima twice in the back of her head.
