Witness Report Incorporated

Witness Report Incorporated is an independent, non-profit public-interest association dedicated to documenting, preserving, and publishing verified information relating to human rights violations and their impact on individuals and communities.

The project began in 2022 during the Woman, Life, Freedom (Zan, Zendegi, Azadi) movement, when volunteers recognized the urgent need for reliable, organized, and lasting documentation amid widespread internet disruptions and fragmented reporting. What started as a volunteer-driven initiative has since evolved into Witness Report Incorporated, with a commitment to preserving historical records and ensuring that victims and events are not forgotten.

We believe that every victim, every witness, and every story deserves to be remembered. Through careful documentation and responsible use of technology, we aim to preserve historical records, promote transparency, and support public awareness of human rights issues.

Witness Report operates independently and is not affiliated with any political party, government, or religious organization. Our work is guided by principles of accuracy, impartiality, transparency, and respect for human dignity.

Our volunteers and members contribute to collecting, verifying, translating, organizing, and preserving information so that future generations have access to reliable records and the voices of those affected are not forgotten.

Because every witness matters, and every story deserves to be remembered.

We do not accept any member from Iran due to security risks for volunteers.

ویتنس ریپورت اینکورپوریتد یک انجمن مستقل، غیرانتفاعی و در راستای منفعت عمومی است که به ثبت، حفظ و انتشار اطلاعات تاییدشده درباره نقض حقوق بشر و تاثیر آن بر افراد و جوامع اختصاص دارد.

این پروژه در سال ۲۰۲۲ و در جریان جنبش زن، زندگی، آزادی آغاز شد؛ زمانی که داوطلبان، در میانه اختلال گسترده اینترنت و گزارش های پراکنده، نیاز فوری به مستندسازی دقیق، منظم و ماندگار را تشخیص دادند. آنچه ابتدا یک اقدام داوطلبانه بود، اکنون به ویتنس ریپورت اینکورپوریتد تبدیل شده است؛ با تعهدی جدی به حفظ اسناد تاریخی و جلوگیری از فراموشی قربانیان و رویدادها.

ما باور داریم هر قربانی، هر شاهد و هر روایت، شایسته به خاطر سپرده شدن است. با مستندسازی دقیق و استفاده مسوولانه از فناوری، تلاش می کنیم حافظه تاریخی را نگه داریم، شفافیت را تقویت کنیم و آگاهی عمومی نسبت به مسائل حقوق بشری را افزایش دهیم.

ویتنس ریپورت به صورت مستقل فعالیت می کند و وابسته به هیچ حزب سیاسی، دولت یا سازمان مذهبی نیست. کار ما بر پایه دقت، بی طرفی، شفافیت و احترام به کرامت انسانی هدایت می شود.

داوطلبان و اعضای ما در گردآوری، راستی آزمایی، ترجمه، سازماندهی و نگهداری اطلاعات مشارکت می کنند تا نسل های آینده به اسناد قابل اعتماد دسترسی داشته باشند و صدای افراد متاثر از نقض حقوق بشر فراموش نشود.

  • ایجاد آرشیوی پایدار و در دسترس برای پژوهشگران، روزنامه نگاران، مدافعان حقوق بشر و عموم مردم.

آغاز فعالیت در سال ۲۰۲۲ همزمان با جنبش زن، زندگی، آزادی؛ ثبت رسمی به عنوان انجمن در استرالیا در سال ۲۰۲۶.

ما هیچ عضوی از ایران را به دلیل خطرات امنیتی برای داوطلبان نمی پذیریم.

Introduction

Financial Independence and Accountability

Public trust depends on transparency. Witness Report is committed to maintaining complete financial independence and openly explaining how the organisation is funded and governed.

Section 1: Our Independence

Witness Report Incorporated is an independent, not-for-profit human rights organisation registered in South Australia.

We are funded through membership fees and voluntary public donations. We do not receive funding from governments, political parties, or foreign state institutions.

Membership Fees

Annual memberships help support the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

Individual Donations

Voluntary public donations directly support documentation, verification, and digital infrastructure.

Community Fundraising

Community-led fundraising initiatives help expand our human rights work while preserving independence.

Charitable Contributions

We may accept charitable donations only when they do not compromise our editorial or organisational independence.

  • Proper accounting records are maintained.
  • Financial oversight is provided by the elected committee.

  • Compliance with the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 (South Australia).
