به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران به نقل از میزان، روز سه شنبه ۹ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۳، صادق زیباکلام، استاد بازنشسته علوم سیاسی دانشگاه تهران و فعال سیاسی، ساکن تهران، در پی «اظهار نظر در فضای مجازی» با اتهام و پرونده سازی قضایی جدید مواجه شد.
صادق زیباکلام، در حالی که پیشتر دوران حبس تعزیری اش را در زندان اوین سپری می کرد، در پی ابتلا به بیماری سرطان، به مرخصی درمانی اعزام شد.
همچنین، در تاریخ ۱۱ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۱، صادق زیبا کلام، از بابت اتهاماتی مرتبط با انتشار مطالبی در صفحه شخصی خود پیرامون مسمومیتهای سریالی دانش آموزان، پس از شکایت دادستان تهران با پرونده سازی قضایی مواجه شد و در تاریخ ۱۴ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از محاکمه در دادگاه، به تحمل ۱ سال حبس محکوم و در تاریخ ۲۳ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، توسط ماموران نیروی انتظامی، بازداشت و برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود به اندرزگاه ۴ «بند قرنطینه» زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
این فعال سیاسی، از بابت پرونده ای دیگر، در تاریخ ۷ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه مطبوعات استان تهران، از بابت اتهام«انتشار مطالب خلاف واقع»مجرم شناخته شد اما از میزان محکومیت وی اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
