According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization on January 9 2026 Ziba Dastjerdi a 33yearold resident of Nishapur was killed by direct fire from government forces during the public protests in this city. This citizen was killed in the presence of her 8yearold daughter and in front of her eyes.
Informed sources stated that she had previously been sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment in 2023 and had recently been sentenced to another year in prison in another case awaiting a hearing in the court of appeal.
