کمال گلاوی آذر به همراه حمزه حسن ملا در تاریخ ۲۷ اسفند ۱۴۰۲ بازداشت شدند. دلیل گزارش شده برای بازداشت این افراد برگزاری مراسم نوروزی در روستای جعفرآباد بود. نیروهای انتظامی پاسگاه خاکپور ابتدا سعی در ممانعت از برگزاری مراسم داشتند. پس از برگزاری مراسم، نیروهای لباس شخصی چند ساعت بعد به روستا یورش بردند، منازل را تفتیش کردند و این دو نفر را بدون ارائه حکم قضایی بازداشت کردند.

On Sunday, the 27th of Esfand 1402 (17th Mar 2024) Mr Galavi Azar, a citizen living in one of the villages around Mahabad was arrested by the security forces.
Kamal Golavi Azar and Hamzeh Hassan Molla were arrested on 17 March 2024. The reported reason for their arrest was the organization of a Nowruz celebration in the village of Jafarabad. Security forces from the Khakpour police station initially attempted to prevent the event from taking place. After the celebration concluded, plainclothes officers raided the village several hours later, searched homes, and arrested the two individuals without presenting a judicial order.
