On Sunday, April 7, 2024, Ali Sayahi, born in 1976 and a resident of Koshi Alavi, Ahvaz, is serving the fourth year of his 10-year sentence as a political prisoner in Ward 5 of Sheiban Central Prison in Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province. He has developed several illnesses due to extensive torture during interrogations and psychological pressures and has been deprived of access to quality medical services.
A source familiar with Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz reported that Ward 5 is a very unsuitable place for holding prisoners of any charge because it lacks the necessary facilities for living. Ali Sayahi, one of these prisoners, suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes and requires regular specialized medical tests and daily monitoring of blood pressure and blood sugar. According to his last conversation with the prison doctor, he needs to be transferred to a hospital for blood tests and specialized heart examinations. However, the main issue is the opposition of the prosecutor and the Ahvaz Intelligence Office, which has been the main obstacle to his transfer for medical treatment.
It is noteworthy that in May 2019, during widespread arrests related to aid efforts for flood victims in Khuzestan Province, Ali Sayahi was arrested by security agents. He was transferred to the detention center of the Khuzestan Intelligence Office and then to the detention center of the IRGC Intelligence. During interrogations, he was subjected to severe torture and other coercive behaviors to extract confessions against himself. He was charged by the investigator of the Ahvaz Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.
During the trial, Ali Sayahi was convicted by the judge of the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court. He was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for membership in a group intending to disrupt national security, 1 year for propaganda activities against the regime, and 5 years for assembly and collusion.
Following an appeal and referral of Ali Sayahi's case to the Khuzestan Court of Appeals, the initial verdict against this political defendant was upheld.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز یکشنبه ۱۹ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۳، علی صیاحی، فرزند: حسن، متولد: ۱۳۵۵، اهل و ساکن کوشی علوی اهواز و زندانی سیاسی محبوس در بند ۵ زندان شیبان مرکزی اهواز واقع در استان خوزستان، در حالی چهارمین سال از حبس ۱۰ ساله خود را سپری می کند که در پی شکنجه های گسترده در دوران بازجویی ها و فشارهای روحی و روانی به چندین بیماری مبتلا و از حق دسترسی به خدمات درمانی با کیفیت محروم شده است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع از زندان شیبان اهواز در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”در حقیقت بند ۵ زندان شیبان اهواز مکانی بسیار نامناسب برای نگهداری زندانیان با هر نوع اتهام است چون فاقد امکانات لازم برای زندگی است و علی صیاحی بعنوان یکی از این زندانیان با توجه به بیماری قلب، فشارخون بالا و بیماری قندخون دیابت نیازمند انجام آزمایشات دوره ای پزشکی تخصصی و کنترل فشار خون و قندخون بصورت روزانه است و با توجه به آخرین گفنگوی این زندانی با پزشک بهداری، باید برای انجام آزمایش خون و معاینات تخصصی قلب به بیمارستان اعزام شود اما مشکل اصلی مخالفت دادستان و اداره اطلاعات اهواز برای خروج این زندانی از زندان است که تا به امروز مانع اصلی اعزام و انجام اقدامات درمانی برای علی صیاحی هستند.
لازم به اشاره است، علی صیاحی، در اردیبهشت ماه ۱۳۹۸، همزمان با دستگیری های گسترده در جریان کمک رسانی به سیل زدگان استان خوزستان، توسط ماموران امنیتی، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان خوزستان و سپس بازداشتگاه اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام در حالی که به شدت تحت شکنجه و سایر رفتارهای قهرآمیز برای اخذ اعتراف بر علیه خود قرار گرفته بود توسط بازپرس شعبه دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب اهواز، تفهیم اتهام شد.
با آغاز مراحل دادرسی، علی صیاحی، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب اهواز، محاکمه و از بابت اتهام عضویت در گروه و دسته به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور به تحمل ۱۰ سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام هم به تحمل ۱ سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی هم به تحمل ۵ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
در پی اعتراض و ارجاع پرونده علی صیاحی به شعبه دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان خوزستان، حکم صادره بدوی بر علیه این متهم سیاسی عینا تائید شد.
