Amirhossein Ahmadi Sharif was at a gathering in the Jahanshahr area of Karaj, in front of the "Jungle" bookstore, when shooting began from the rooftops of residential buildings.
A source close to the family reported that before the shooting started, laser lights were pointed at people, followed by the sound of gunfire. A live bullet struck him in the middle of the forehead. He and several others fell to the ground at the same location.
The family stated that the shooting area was entirely residential, with no government buildings in the vicinity.
Amirhossein was taken to the hospital, but according to the family, he died instantly.
The informed source mentioned that the family faced resistance from security forces when trying to retrieve the body. After persistent efforts, they were able to claim it.
The family was not allowed to bury him in Behesht Sakineh cemetery in Karaj and were ultimately forced to bury him in the Kalak cemetery without being permitted to hold a funeral ceremony.
Amirhossein worked at a sports equipment store. He had been employed since his teenage years and contributed to his mother's expenses. He had recently bought a second-hand Pride car and was waiting to receive his driver's license to use it. He was very attached to his family, caring for and supporting his sister. His father was ill and required weekly dialysis, which Amirhossein personally took him to and from.

امیرحسین احمدی شریف در منطقه جهانشهر کرج روبه روی کتاب فروشی «جنگل» در تجمع بود که از روی پشت بام ساختمان های مسکونی تیراندازی آغاز شد.
بنا بر گفته یک منبع نزدیک به خانواده پیش از شروع شلیک نور لیزر روی افراد انداخته می شد و سپس صدای تیراندازی بلند شد. گلوله جنگی به وسط پیشانی او اصابت کرد. او و چندین نفر دیگر نیز در همان محل بر زمین افتادند.

به گفته این منبع آگاه خانواده هنگام تحویل پیکر با ممانعت نیروهای امنیتی روبرو شدند و پس از کشمکش و پیگیری های پی در پی توانستند پیکر را تحویل بگیرند.
به خانواده اجازه دفن در بهشت سکینه کرج داده نشد و در نهایت خانواده را مجبور کردند که او را در قبرستان کلاک به خاک سپرده شود بدون اینکه اجازه برگزاری مراسم عزاداری به آنها داده شود.
«امیرحسین در مغازه لوازم ورزشی کار می کرد. از نوجوانی شاغل بود و کمک خرج مادرش محسوب می شد. به تازگی یک خودروی پراید دست دوم خریده بود و منتظر دریافت گواهینامه بود تا بتواند از آن استفاده کند. به خانواده بسیار وابسته و مراقب و حامی خواهرش بود. پدرش بیمار بود و نیاز به دیالیز هفتگی داشت و امیرحسین شخصاً او را برای دیالیز می برد و بازمی گرداند.»
