On Thursday, September 28, 2023, Kambiz Kharot, born in 2001, the son of Mehrallah, a resident of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and one of the protesters arrested during the nationwide protests of 2022, was released from Zahedan Central Prison after undergoing interrogation and being charged, upon posting bail.
According to this report, Kambiz Kharot's release was secured after posting a bail of 10 billion Rials (1 billion Tomans) and until the final court ruling is issued.
It is noteworthy that Kambiz Kharot was arrested on September 30, 2022, during the nationwide protests in the city of Zahedan, and after undergoing interrogation and being charged, he was released on bail in early November 2022.
This Zahedan resident was summoned and arrested again on November 12, 2022, by one of the security agencies in Zahedan.
It has also been claimed that during the trial phase, Kambiz Kharot was sentenced to death by Branch 2 of the Zahedan Revolutionary Court on charges of "enmity against God" (moharebeh) and "corruption on earth" (efsad-e fel-arz). However, it is unclear, given the issuance of a death sentence for him and based on the current criminal laws in Iran, which reject any form of bail for the release of a defendant sentenced to death, what legal changes in the case and the preliminary ruling led to Kambiz Kharot's release.
به نقل از حال وش، روز پنجشنبه ۶ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، کامبیز خروت، متولد: ۱۳۸۰، فرزند مهرالله، اهل و ساکن زاهدان مرکز استان سیستان و بلوچستان و از معترضن بازداشت شده در جریان اعتراضات سراسری ۱۴۰۱، پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام با تامین وثیقه از زندان مرکزی زاهدان، آزاد شد.
براساس این گزارش، آزادی کامبیز خروت، پس از تامین وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱ میلیارد تومان و تا زمان ابلاغ حکم قطعی دادگاه صورت گرفته است.
لازم به اشاره است، کامبیز خروت، در تاریخ ۹ مهرماه ۱۴۰۱، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری در شهر زاهدان، دستگیر و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، اوایل آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، با تودیع وثیقه آزاد شده بود.
این شهروند ساکن زاهدان، رای دومیت مرحله نیز، در تاریخ ۲۱ آبان ۱۴۰۱، به یکی از نهادهای امنیتی در شهر زاهدان، احضار و بازداشت شد.
همچنین، ادعا شده که کامبیز خروت، در مرحله دادرسی توسط شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب زاهدان، از بابت اتهام (محاربه) و (افساد فی الارض) به اعدام محکوم شده بود اما مشخص نیست با توجه به صدور حکم اعدام برای وی و با استناد به قوانین کیفری جاری در ایران که از پذیرش هرگونه وثیقه برای آزادی متهم محکوم به اعدام با قید وثیقه رد می کند آزادی کامبیز خروت در پی چه تغییرات حقوقی در پرونده و حکم بدوی صورت گرفته است.
