سپهر ابراهیمی در اعتراضات شهرک اندیشه تهران کشته شد. گزارش شده است که مادر سپهر نگران بوده که پسرش به اعتراضات برود و برایش اتفاقی بیفتد. به همین دلیل او به مادرش گفته بود که به باشگاه می رود اما به معترضان پیوست. خانواده هفت روز از او خبری نداشتند تا آنکه جسدش پیدا شد. سپهر بوکسور آماتور بود و در پست های اینستاگرامش نشان داده شده که او در هر کجا در حال تمرین بوده است.
