The legal instances of the accusations against Ismail Kahram have been described as "contrary to Iran's national security."
According to this report, the legal charges against Ismail Kahram were made after he stated in an interview with Jamaran News Agency: "Each missile that is built costs 2 million dollars, and if the health of the people is important to the authorities, with the money from 10 missiles, mazut can be standardized."
He also mentioned that if mazut is poured into water, all creatures from microbes to whales will be poisoned; if it is poured into the soil, the underground water table will become contaminated and will no longer be suitable for agriculture, washing, or consumption; and if it is burned in the air, it is important to note that it is 100% carcinogenic.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران به نقل از فارس در روز سه شنبه ۱۸آذر ماه ۱۴۰۴،، طی روزهای اخیر، اسماعیل کهرم، مشاور پیشین سازمان محیط زیست و همچنین مدیر مسئول خبرگزاری جماران با پرونده سازی قضایی مواجه شدند.
مصادیق حقوقی اتهامات اسماعیل کهرم«مغایر با امنیت ملی ایران» عنوان شده است.
براساس این گزارش، پرونده سازی قضایی بر علیه اسماعیل کهرم، پس از آن صورت گرفته که این شهروند در گفتگو با خبرگزاری جماران اعلام کرده بود:”هر موشکی که ساخته می شود ۲ میلیون دلار هزینه دارد و اگر سلامت مردم برای مسئولان مهم باشد، با پول ۱۰ موشک می توان مازوت ها را استاندارد کرد.”
وی همچنین گفته بود که اگر مازوت را در آب بریزید تمام موجودات از میکروب ها گرفته تا نهنگ ها مسموم می شوند، اگر در خاک بریزید سفره آب زیرزمینی مسموم می شود و دیگر به درد کشاورزی و شست وشوی و آب مصرفی نمی خورد و اگر در هوا بسوزانید دقت بفرمایید که صد درصد سرطان زا است.
