Sadra Soltani, a master's student in architecture, was killed on the night of 8 January 2023 in the Haft Hoz Square area of Narmak, Tehran, at the intersection of Golbarg and Bakhtiari streets. It was reported that he died while being transferred to Ansari Hospital.
The hospital doctor reportedly informed the family that the bullet had caused an aortic rupture and passed through his body. It was speculated that the shooting might have been carried out from an elevated position, such as a rooftop or balcony.
On 9 January 2023, his family was among the first to visit the Kahrizak Forensic Medicine Centre, where they encountered a large number of bodies. They were able to locate Sadra's body. He was buried on 10 January 2023 at Behesht Zahra.
صدرا سلطانی، دانشجوی کارشناسی ارشد معماری، در شب ۱۸ دی در میدان هفت حوض محله نارمک تهران، در تقاطع گلبرگ و بختیاری، با برخورد گلوله به قلبش کشته شد. گزارش شده است که او در مسیر انتقال به بیمارستان انصاری جان باخت.
گفته شده که پزشک بیمارستان به خانواده اطلاع داده است که گلوله باعث پارگی آئورت شده و از بدن او عبور کرده است. احتمال داده شده که تیراندازی از ارتفاعی مانند پشت بام یا بالکن انجام شده باشد.
در ۱۹ دی، خانواده او از اولین کسانی بودند که به پزشکی قانونی کهریزک مراجعه کردند و با تعداد زیادی از جنازه ها مواجه شدند. آنها توانستند جسد صدرا را پیدا کنند. او در ۲۰ دی در بهشت زهرا به خاک سپرده شد.
