Arad Zarei, who lived in Canada, was a second-year high school student and one of the 29 children and teenagers who lost their lives aboard Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752. Apart from his body, which was laid to rest in Canada, none of his personal belongings were ever returned to his family.
In the early hours of 8 January 2020, Arad was a passenger aboard Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752, which was shot down over Tehran by missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He was killed along with all the other passengers and crew on board.
