Saeed Kadkhodazadeh Kashani

Saeed was born on 20 September 1990 in Tehran. He was the second child in his family, with a sister named Saeedeh and a brother named Ali.

From a young age, Saeed showed an interest in construction and discovery, often contemplating how toys were made rather than playing with them. He learned English during primary school and, despite his attachment to his mother, attended school where he studied experimental sciences and chose chemistry as his future academic path.

Saeed earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Shahre Rey University and later obtained a master's degree from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Iran. Due to a lack of facilities in Iran, he applied to universities worldwide and was accepted by the University of Ottawa in Canada in 2017, where he also worked as a laboratory instructor.

During this period, he published two articles in reputable chemistry journals and received offers for postdoctoral studies from universities in the United States. He was expected to graduate in 2020 and move to the United States, but this aspiration was not realised on the morning of 8 January.

On 6 December, Saeed returned to Iran, where his family welcomed him. However, this happiness lasted only a month. On the night of his return flight, his family took him to the airport with anxiety. Despite concerns, Saeed decided to return to university. He passed through the security gate and bid farewell to his parents several times. Upon returning home, his family received a phone call with news.
