Mahboubeh Rezaei, a former political prisoner, was arrested again yesterday morning, April 21. Last year, she had brought attention to the plight of defenseless women in Bushehr prison who were being assaulted by prison officials. Mahboubeh Rezaei was one of the political activists who openly shared her opinions on her Instagram page.
Mahboubeh Rezaei was arrested by security forces on May 16, 2017, and was temporarily released after posting bail until the end of her trial. She was tried in Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, presided over by Judge Seyed Mahmoud Sadati, and was sentenced to a total of 13 years in prison on charges of assembly and collusion against national security, membership in one of the groups opposing the regime, insulting the leadership, and propaganda against the regime.
According to the issued verdict, with the application of Article 134, 5 years of this sentence was enforceable as the most severe punishment. This sentence was reduced to 2 years and 6 months in prison in the appeal stage by Branch 17 of the Court of Appeals of Fars Province. Ms. Rezaei was finally arrested on January 19, 2021, and transferred to Bushehr prison to serve her sentence. In July 2021, this political prisoner, along with Sepideh Gholian, was severely beaten by inmates accused of violent crimes in front of prison officials.
Recently, Mahboubeh Rezaei, along with several former political prisoners, visited the grave of Lieutenant General Nader Jahanbani. She also visited the father of Mohsen Shekari and the mother of Pejman Ghali Pour.
محبوبه رضایی زندان سیاسی سابق، صبح دیروز اول اردیبهشت بار دیگر بازداشت شد. او سال گذشته از زندان بوشهر صدای زنان بی پناهی که از سوی مسئولان زندان به آنها تعرض می شد را به گوش مردم رسانده بود.
محبوبه رضایی از جمله فعالان سیاسی بود که نظراتش را با صراحت در صفحه اینستاگرامش منتشر می کرد.
محبوبه رضایی در تاریخ ۲۶ اردیبهشت ۹۶ توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از مدتی با تودیع قرار وثیقه به صورت موقت و تا پایان مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
وی در شعبه ۱ دادگاه انقلاب شیراز به ریاست قاضی سیدمحمود ساداتی محاکمه و از بابت اتهامات اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت ملی، عضویت در یکی از گروه های معاند نظام، توهین به رهبری و تبلیغ علیه نظام مجموعا به ۱۳ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
بر اساس حکم صادره با اعمال ماده ۱۳۴ مدت ۵ سال از این حبس به عنوان مجازات اشد برای وی قابل اجرا بود. این محکومیت در مرحله تجدیدنظر توسط شعبه ۱۷ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان فارس به ۲ سال و ۶ ماه زندان تقلیل یافت.
خانم رضایی نهایتا در تاریخ ۳۰ دیماه ۹۹ بازداشت و جهت تحمل دوران محکومیت خود به زندان بوشهر منتقل شد. این زندانی سیاسی تیرماه سال ۱۴۰۰ به همراه سپیده قلیان توسط زندانیان متهم به جرائم خشن در مقابل مسئولان زندان به شدت مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفته بود.
محبوبه رضایی اخیرا همراه با تعدادی از زندانیان سیاسی سابق بر سر مزار سپهبد نادر جهانبانی حاضر شده بود، او همچنین به دیدار پدر محسن شکاری و مادر پژمان قلی پور رفته بود.
