According to reports, on 19 August 2025, Houshyar Shabani from Baneh County was arrested by security forces. It was reported that the arrest took place near Kani Sur, a district of Baneh County, and he was injured in the leg during the arrest. There is no information available regarding his condition and whereabouts.
Previously, Houshyar Shabani had been subject to legal proceedings on 4 September 2023 and was summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Baneh County in December of the same year. Additionally, on 26 August 2021, he was arrested by security forces and released on bail on 14 November 2021 after undergoing interrogation and being informed of the charges.
In March 2022, Houshyar Shabani was sentenced to one year of imprisonment for propaganda activities against the regime, with eight months suspended and two months to be served. He was acquitted of charges related to collaboration with Kurdish opposition parties. After the completion of legal proceedings, he was detained on 7 February 2023 to serve his prison sentence and was subsequently released.
بر اساس گزارش ها، در تاریخ 29 مرداد 1404، هوشیار شعبانی، اهل شهرستان بانه، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت شد. گفته شده است که این بازداشت در نزدیکی کانی سور از توابع شهرستان بانه صورت گرفته و او در جریان این بازداشت از ناحیه پا مجروح شده است. اطلاعاتی درباره وضعیت و مکان نگهداری او در دسترس نیست.
هوشیار شعبانی پیش از این نیز در تاریخ 13 شهریور 1402 تحت پیگرد قضایی قرار گرفته و در آذر ماه همان سال به شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهرستان بانه احضار شده بود. همچنین، در تاریخ 4 شهریور 1400 نیز توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام در تاریخ 23 آبان 1400 با تودیع قرار وثیقه آزاد شده بود.
در اسفند 1400، هوشیار شعبانی به اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد که 8 ماه آن تعلیقی و 2 ماه آن لازم الاجرا بود. او از اتهام همکاری با احزاب کرد مخالف نظام تبرئه شده بود. پس از اتمام مراحل دادرسی، در تاریخ 18 بهمن 1401 برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود بازداشت و پس از آن آزاد شده بود.
