Seventy days after the arrest, she remains in a state of uncertainty in the quarantine ward of Vakilabad Central Prison in this city (Mashhad). Her arrest is reported to be related to her reactions to the "40-day war and the death of Ali Khamenei."

مینا زارعی روز یک شنبه ۱۰ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ ( ۱ مارس ۲۰۲۶)، توسط نیروهای حکومتی در مشهد بازداشت شد. با وجود گذشت بیش از دو ماه، مقامات قضایی از تعیین تکلیف وضعیت وی و یا صدور قرار آزادی موقت خودداری می کنند. خانم زارعی در وضعیت بلاتکلیفی در قرنطینه زندان مرکزی مشهد (وکیل آباد) محبوس است.

منابع مطلع اعلام کرده اند که بازداشت وی در رابطه با واکنش های او به «جنگ ۴۰ روزه و مرگ علی خامنه ای» صورت گرفته است.
