Mohammad Rajabi Bistgani passed away on the evening of January 8 after being shot in the city of Lenjan in Isfahan province. Radio Farda has confirmed his identity. Mohammad Rajabi Bistgani, 36, was a mechanic in the city of Zayandeh Rud in Lenjan. A relative mentioned that a bullet from a Kalashnikov, fired from the roof of the Basij base in the Bistgan neighborhood of Zayandeh Rud, struck him in the heart.

For three days, Mohammad Rajabi Bistgani's family was left in uncertainty between the forensic medicine, hospital, and police station until January 12, when they learned through the family of another victim in the city that their son's body was in Bagh Rezvan, Isfahan. The family received his body on January 13, after being required to commit to not holding any ceremonies.

A relative stated that they were required to commit not to hold a ceremony in the mosque. Even if permission was granted, they would not have held one. On Tuesday morning, in silence as a sign of protest, they held a funeral procession and buried him. For the seventh-day ceremony, they did not bring a eulogist and played solo ney music through a loudspeaker.
