Arash Forouzandeh was active in nationwide protests and worked on drafting calls and providing analytical solutions, as reported on his Instagram account. Soran Mansournia, the brother of Borhan Mansournia, who died in November 2019, confirmed that he knew Forouzandeh and had discussed calls and gatherings with him several times.
Mansournia stated that Forouzandeh was from Abadan and lived in Tehran. He described him as a noble person who had been very active in the virtual world alongside street protests for "Women, Life, Freedom" over the past six months. He noted that Forouzandeh had gone on hunger strikes multiple times, including an 18-day hunger strike to demand the formation of a coalition.
Mansournia emphasized that on 10 March 2021, Forouzandeh contacted him and reported that plainclothes forces had abducted him. After several hours of interrogation, they informed him that he had been mistakenly detained. During the interrogation, he was given a bottle of water, which he drank. However, he subsequently suffered from severe poisoning, which forced him to visit the hospital repeatedly.
According to Mansournia, Arash Forouzandeh died on 19 March 2021 as a result of this poisoning.
بر اساس مطالب منتشر شده در حساب اینستاگرام آرش فروزنده، او در اعتراضات سراسری فعال بود و برای تدوین فراخوان ها و ارائه راهکارهای تحلیلی فعالیت می کرد. سوران منصورنیا، برادر برهان منصورنیا که در آبان ۱۳۹۸ جان باخت، تأیید کرده که آرش فروزنده را می شناخت و چندین بار درباره فراخوان ها و تجمعات با او گفت وگو کرده بود.
به گفته منصورنیا، آرش فروزنده اهل آبادان و ساکن تهران بود و انسانی شریف به شمار می رفت که در شش ماه گذشته در کنار مبارزه در کف خیابان برای زن، زندگی، آزادی، در دنیای مجازی نیز بسیار فعال بود. او اشاره کرده که این معترض جان باخته چندین بار اعتصاب غذا کرده که یکی از آن ها اعتصاب غذای ۱۸ روزه برای درخواست تشکیل ائتلاف بود.
سوران منصورنیا تأکید کرده که در تاریخ ۱۹ اسفند آرش با او تماس گرفته و گفته بود که نیروهای لباس شخصی او را ربوده و پس از چند ساعت بازجویی اعلام کرده اند که اشتباهی او را بازداشت کرده اند. اما در حین بازجویی به او یک بطری آب داده بودند و او نیز آب را نوشیده بود؛ اما آرش بعد از آن دچار مسمومیت شدید شد که او را مجبور کرد پیاپی به بیمارستان مراجعه کند.
به گفته او، آرش فروزنده در تاریخ ۲۸ اسفند و بر اثر همین مسمومیت جان باخت.
