On 27 September 2026, intelligence forces entered the private residence of Bayan Salehian in Urmia. During this operation, Bayan Salehian was arrested. Prior to this incident, activities on her personal account on 1 August 2026 indicated her freedom.
Earlier, on 27 April 2025, Bayan Salehian, a doctor residing in Urmia, faced confirmation of her conviction by the West Azerbaijan Court of Appeal. She had previously been sentenced by Branch 111 of the Urmia Criminal Court to five months in prison and a fine of 15 million tomans.
