On 27 October 2022, during protests in Mahabad, Kabra Shaykha Saqqa was fatally shot. Reports indicate that following the funeral of Esmail Moloudi, widespread protests occurred in Mahabad, which escalated into violence with the intervention of government forces, resulting in several fatalities, including Kabra Shaykha Saqqa.
It has been reported that military forces fired towards Kabra Shaykha Saqqa's home, and one of the bullets struck her neck. Additionally, there have been claims of pressure on her family to release information to the public that does not align with the facts.
Further reports suggest that the West Azerbaijan Province's state broadcaster, along with the Mahabad prosecutor and others, visited Kabra Shaykha Saqqa's family home without prior notice and conducted filming. It is alleged that parts of the interviews were distorted and censored.
Kabra Shaykha Saqqa's funeral was attended by a group of Mahabad residents, who chanted protest slogans. During the ceremony, a Kurdish cleric delivered a speech emphasising solidarity with the people.
در تاریخ 5 آبان 1401، کبری شیخه سقا در جریان اعتراضات در مهاباد در اثر شلیک گلوله جان باخت. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که پس از مراسم خاکسپاری اسماعیل مولودی، اعتراضات گسترده ای در شهر مهاباد رخ داد که با دخالت نیروهای حکومتی به خشونت کشیده شد و چندین نفر از جمله کبری شیخه سقا جان باختند.
گزارش ها نشان می دهد که نیروهای نظامی به سمت منزل کبری شیخه سقا شلیک کردند و یکی از گلوله ها به گردن او اصابت کرد. همچنین گزارش شده است که فشارهایی بر خانواده کبری شیخه سقا اعمال شده تا اطلاعاتی را به افکار عمومی منتقل کنند که با واقعیت متفاوت است.
در ادامه، گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که صداوسیمای استان آذربایجان غربی به همراه دادستان مهاباد و تعدادی دیگر بدون اطلاع قبلی به منزل خانواده کبری شیخه سقا رفته و اقدام به فیلمبرداری کرده اند. گفته می شود که بخشی از مصاحبه ها تحریف و سانسور شده است.
مراسم خاکسپاری کبری شیخه سقا با حضور جمعی از مردم مهاباد و با سردادن شعارهای اعتراضی برگزار شد. در این مراسم، یک روحانی کرد سخنرانی کرد و بر همبستگی با مردم تأکید کرد.
