Previously, on 9 July 2023, Suleiman Qader Galavan was arrested by security forces in Oshnavieh. After undergoing interrogation and being charged, he was released on bail. سلیمان قادر گلوان، ساکن شهرستان اشنویه از توابع استان آذربایجان غربی، در تاریخ 2 تیر 1404 توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که دستگیری وی در پی یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل او در اشنویه صورت گرفته است. پس از دستگیری، اکانت اینستاگرام شخصی او در اختیار ماموران امنیتی قرار گرفته و از دسترس او و خانواده اش خارج شده است. اطلاعاتی درباره دلیل بازداشت، نام نهاد امنیتی دستگیر کننده و مکان دقیق نگهداری سلیمان قادر گلوان در دست نیست.
پیشتر، در تاریخ 18 تیر 1402، سلیمان قادر گلوان توسط نیروهای امنیتی در اشنویه دستگیر و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام، با تودیع قرار وثیقه آزاد شده بود. در مراحل دادرسی، او توسط قاضی دادگاه انقلاب اشنویه محاکمه و به تحمل یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
عبدالسلام قادر گلوان، برادر سلیمان قادر گلوان، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری 1401 در اشنویه بر اثر شلیک مستقیم گلوله از سوی نیروهای امنیتی جان باخت.
