Amir Mohammad Arab, an 18-year-old from Arak, participated in protests starting on 28 December 2025 and continued to take part in street demonstrations on 8, 9, and 10 January 2026. His activities were not limited to street presence. Amir Mohammad was also active on social media, expressing his opposition to the government by posting protest comments, insults, and slogans under posts by government-related pages, including those of law enforcement agencies and pro-government bloggers.
On 14 March 2026, at approximately 18:30, agents of the Islamic Republic approached Amir Mohammad with two white vehicles and forcibly arrested him. Surveillance cameras captured the moment of his abduction.
Two days later, Amir Mohammad's lifeless body was returned to his family. Officials, following the usual procedure in such cases, stated that the cause of death was "cardiac arrest," despite Amir Mohammad having no history of illness.
Previously, Amir Mohammad had been arrested by security forces during the 2022 protests, known as the Mahsa Revolution, when he was only 15 years old. After his release, he was summoned to security agencies several times and complied with these summonses.
امیرمحمد عرب، ۱۸ ساله و اهل اراک، از هفتم دی ماه در اعتراضات حضور داشت و در روزهای ۱۸، ۱۹ و ۲۰ دی ماه 1404 نیز به طور مستمر در خیابان ها شرکت کرد.
فعالیت های او به حضور خیابانی محدود نبود. امیرمحمد در فضای مجازی نیز علیه حکومت فعالیت می کرد و زیر پست صفحات حکومتی، از جمله صفحات مرتبط با نهادهای انتظامی و بلاگرهای حامی حکومت، با نوشتن کامنت های اعتراضی، فحاشی و شعارنویسی مخالفت خود را با جمهوری اسلامی نشان می داد.
روز ۲۴ اسفند ۱۴۰۴، حدود ساعت ۱۸:۳۰، مأموران جمهوری اسلامی با دو خودروی سفیدرنگ به سراغ امیرمحمد رفتند و او را با زور بازداشت کردند. دوربین های مداربسته لحظه ربودن او را ثبت کرده اند.
دو روز بعد، پیکر بی جان امیرمحمد را به خانواده اش تحویل دادند. مقام ها، مطابق روال معمول در چنین مواردی، علت مرگ او را «ایست قلبی» اعلام کردند؛ این در حالی است که امیرمحمد هیچ گونه سابقه بیماری نداشت.
امیرمحمد پیش از این نیز در جریان اعتراضات سال ۱۴۰۱، موسوم به انقلاب مهسا، به دست نیروهای سرکوبگر بازداشت شده بود. او در آن زمان تنها ۱۵ سال داشت. پس از آزادی نیز چندین بار به نهادهای امنیتی احضار می شد و به آنجا مراجعه می کرد.
