مهدی طلعتی یکی از جان باختگان ۱۹ دی در تهران است که رادیوفردا هویت او را تایید کرده است. مهدی طلعتی متولد ۱۳۵۸ بود و در بازار تهران در کار پرده و زیورآلات دکوری بود. یکی از نزدیکانش به رادیوفردا گفت که او هیچ نیاز مالی نداشت اما درد مردم را می دید و مثل بقیه در اعتراضات حضور یافته بود. مهدی طلعتی به گفتهٔ نزدیکانش در جوانی در رشته کیوکوشین در کاراته مدال آور آسیا بود. او ۱۹ دی در فلکهٔ سوم تهرانپارس با گلوله جنگی زخمی شد. یکی از نزدیکانش به رادیوفردا گفت که او ابتدا از رفتن به بیمارستان امتناع کرد و دوستانش او را در حالی که از ناحیه ران گلوله خورده بود به منزل مسکونی اش رساندند. یک روز بعد اما وقتی او را به بیمارستان رساندند دیر شده بود و براثر خونریزی زیاد جان باخت. مهدی طلعتی یک پسر ده ساله و یک دختر ۱۸ ساله دارد. رادیوفردا با یکی از نزدیکان مهدی طلعتی گفت وگو کرده است.

However, a day later, when they took him to the hospital, it was too late, and he died due to severe bleeding. Mehdi Talaati has a ten-year-old son and an eighteen-year-old daughter.
