Esmail Ramazanpour

Ismail Ramazanpour, a resident of Fars Province living in Yazd, has been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Yazd. He was arrested by security forces during the protests in December 2025.

A source reported that the individual was detained by security forces in Yazd during the protests in December of the previous year and was transferred to a security detention centre in the city. It was reported that he was subjected to torture in the detention centre to extract forced confessions and was later moved to the central prison of the city after the interrogation period ended.

According to the source, the detained individual was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Yazd in an unfair trial. He was reportedly deprived of the right to appoint a lawyer and was charged with offences including waging war against the state, assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal security, and deliberate destruction of public property, specifically the burning of the Yazd municipality building, with the intent to oppose the regime.

The death sentence was communicated to the political prisoner at the central prison in Yazd some time ago.
